Free Personal and Career Assessments
Personal assessment
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) provides a useful tool for learning about your typical and most comfortable ways of interacting with the world, what is called your temperament. For a small fee we can administer the MBTI to you, you and your spouse, or your family. However, we offer here a public domain instrument, the Kiersey Temperament Sorter, that uses the same classification codes as the MBTI. Download our self-scoring version below and the handout that provides an interpretation for each code.

Career Assessment
A helpful way to learn about potential careers for yourself is to identify your interests, skills, and motivated abilities (those activities that your are good at, that you enjoy doing, and that also give you a sense of accomplishment when you use them). Call our office if you would like us to conduct a career assessment with you that includes the Career Assessment Inventory (CAI), a measure of career interests which uses the Holland Codes for classifying your interests and the interests of people in various careers. However, we offer here the Interests, Skills, and Motivated Abilities (ISMA) assessment instrument, developed by Dr. Reed, as well as a handout interpreting the career interest codes used in the ISMA.
