Laura Lamirand, LMHC
Laura seeks to provide a warm and caring atmosphere where she and the client work together to restore hope and bring about healing. Laura believes it is important to go beyond the alleviation of symptoms by getting to the root issue. Understandably, clients want relief from their painful and frustrating symptoms; however, if the heart of the matter is addressed, the vicious cycle that leads to the challenges can be stopped. Clients can discover new ways of thinking and living so they don’t fall into the same destructive patterns.
Laura specializes in relationship issues, anxiety, and spirituality. She is also equipped to help clients build healthy coping skills to reduce stress, adjust to adoption, reduce codependency (learning to use healthy boundaries with a loved one with an addiction issue), work through depression, address and manage family conflict, cope with life transitions, improve self esteem, and reduce self-harming behaviors.
Laura is an active Christian. Her therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrates Adlerian, Family Systems, and Existential Therapies. Laura works with individuals (children, ages 10 and up, adolescents, men, and women), married couples, and families.
Laura graduated from Regent University in 2017 with a Masters in Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She completed her supervised training with a Tampa Bay Christian non-profit organization with a licensed psychologist.
Laura strives to provide a holistic approach to wellness where all facets of a client’s being can be discussed and addressed. With empathetic listening and truth in love, Laura helps empower clients to go through a transformation that enables them to lead healthy, meaningful lives. If this resonates with you, please email Laura directly or call 813.265.3859 x 4 to set up an appointment.
